Long-Serving MPP John Yakabuski Honoured With Lifetime Achievement Award
John Yakabuski, a long-serving Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke, was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Upper Ottawa Valley Chamber of Commerce's annual Business Excellence Awards Gala. The event, held at the Normandy Officers' Mess, Garrison Petawawa, attracted prominent local business and community leaders.
Yakabuski, who has dedicated over 20 years to representing his constituency, was recognised for his service and support of the local business community. The award was presented by Andrew Dick of 104.9 myFM. Despite his achievements, Yakabuski remained humble, expressing gratitude for the award but also modesty about receiving it.
The gala featured a silent auction, with proceeds benefiting individual artists and the Chamber of Commerce. Before his political career, Yakabuski was a journalist and broadcaster, demonstrating his commitment to the community in various roles.
