LION E-Mobility Lands Major Order for Fast-Charging Electric Truck Batteries

LION E-Mobility AG, a leading player in battery technology, has received a significant development order from a prominent European premium truck manufacturer. The project aims to create a fast-charging battery system for electric trucks, marking a strategic milestone for the company.

The order, for a feasibility study, will focus on developing a battery system capable of providing a 450 km range with just 15 minutes of charging. This ambitious goal is supported by charging capacities of up to 3 megawatts. The system will utilise immersion-cooled high-performance batteries with an integrated battery management system (BMS), single-cell monitoring, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) for real-time condition analysis.

Dr. Joachim Damasky, CEO of LION E-Mobility AG, views this order as a vote of confidence in the company's technological expertise. It represents an important step in the development of LION's battery technology and underscores the market potential for industrial applications. The partnership strengthens LION's position in the European commercial vehicle market and supports the expansion of sustainable electromobility in the heavy-duty sector.

LION E-Mobility AG's collaboration with the leading European premium truck manufacturer is set to advance the development of fast-charging battery systems for electric trucks. The feasibility study aims to create a solution enabling short charging times while meeting high technical requirements, further cementing LION's role in shaping the future of sustainable heavy-duty transportation.
