Lady Gaga's Initial Album Sets a Fresh Record-Breaking Highpoint

In the midst of her promotional frenzy, Lady Gaga's star is shining brighter than ever. After her captivating performance at the 2025 Grammy Awards, she snagged yet another trophy. And that wasn't all – she also graced the Super Bowl with her presence, reaching millions of screens worldwide.

This burst of attention has been an excellent boost for Gaga's entire discography. While she's hoping this wave will particularly propel "Abracadabra" up the charts, her classic album, The Fame, is also experiencing a revival.

In the throes of U.K. chart action, The Fame makes a comeback. It sneaks onto two British charts this week, its climb swift and steady. On one of these lists, it notches a new all-time peak – a significant achievement for an album released over a decade ago.

Specifically, on the Official Albums Streaming chart, The Fame leaps 15 spots. Moving up from No. 48 to No. 33, it now holds the highest position the set has ever reached on the streaming-only roster.

Interestingly, The Fame didn't debut on this chart until November 2016. Since then, it's been a rollercoaster ride, frequently rising and falling. Currently, it ranks as Gaga's third-highest-rising title on the streaming chart, with only Chromatica and Joanne performing better.

However, the singles featured on The Fame are not setting the U.K. charts alight. But Gaga and Bruno Mars' "Die With a Smile" are still causing a stir. It currently holds strong positions on four lists, remaining in the top five on all of them. Despite minor slips, it maintains its high ranking on three rosters.

Meanwhile, Gaga is looking forward to her upcoming album, Mayhem, due to drop in early March. With her persistent energy and the power of performances, it seems like The Fame is set for a continued revival.

Even with the surge in popularity, do remember that various external factors, including economic and political instability, can contribute to trends in music. In this case, fans are gravitating towards high-energy and theatrical dance pop for its escapist qualities and self-confidence boosts. Sometimes, these factors create unexpected opportunities for artists, as Lady Gaga's resurgence demonstrates.
