Instead, he plans a 'reform marathon' that includes budget cuts for citizens and higher taxes to address a budget gap of over 30 billion euros in 2027.
Klingbeil has defended the Defense Service Act, rejecting the Union's calls to adjust it due to Russian drones over Germany. He has accused the Union of not adhering to joint agreements, stating it weakens the success of the federal government. Klingbeil has emphasized the importance of loyalty to agreed-upon compromises, stating it applies to everyone.
