Khabarovsk Refinery Boosts Fuel Output, Easing Regional Shortages
The Governor of Khabarovsk Krai, Dmitry Demezhin, is closely monitoring the fuel supply situation, especially in remote areas. The Khabarovsk refinery is operating at full capacity to maximize production, with gasoline output exceeding targets by 4,000 tons in the latest figures.
In the first nine months of 2025, the Khabarovsk Oil Refinery processed 3.519 million tons of crude oil, surpassing the plan by 20,000 tons. The refinery's current output is impressive: 462,000 tons of gasoline and 747,000 tons of diesel fuel, with plans to process 5.193 million tons of crude oil in 2026. This will result in 693,000 tons of gasoline and 1.11 million tons of diesel fuel. Authorities are working with the Ministry of Energy and oil companies to boost energy supplies and stabilize prices. Negotiations are ongoing with PJSC 'NK 'Rosnef' to speed up fuel deliveries by rail. The crisis, caused by reduced wholesale sales of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline in September, is being addressed by direct contracts with refineries in Khabarovsk and Komsomolsk. The refinery is helping to resolve shortages in the Vaninsky and Sovetskaya Gavan districts.
The Khabarovsk refinery's increased output and the government's efforts to secure additional energy supplies are showing positive results. The situation in remote areas is stabilizing, and plans for future production are promising. The region's fuel supply challenges are being tackled with a combination of increased production and strategic partnerships.
