Kazakhstan, China Ink Deal for Major Infrastructure Projects

Kazakhstan and China have taken a significant step towards collaborative infrastructure development. A high-level meet was held between Kazakh officials and POWERCHINA's leadership, focusing on power engineering, water management, and renewable energy projects.

The meet, attended by Chairman Ospanov of Kazakhstan's Investment Committee and Deputy Chairman Sultanbek of Kazakh Invest, along with POWERCHINA's Vice President Chen Guanfu, explored potential cooperation from 2023 to 2028. The agenda included the construction of pumped-storage power plants, renewable energy facilities, and wastewater treatment plants.

Ospanov emphasized the potential of this cooperation for introducing advanced technologies and implementing large-scale infrastructure projects. POWERCHINA, in turn, expressed its commitment to a long-term partnership with Kazakhstan, considering the creation of a full cycle of solutions in renewable energy and water resources management.

The meet between Kazakh officials and POWERCHINA's leadership has paved the way for significant infrastructure development in Kazakhstan. The planned projects aim to enhance power generation, renewable energy use, and water management, with a focus on advanced technologies and long-term collaboration.
