Jobseekers' Preferences Highlighted in Avito Jobs Survey: 35% Vote for Company Stability

Jobseekers prioritize company stability, according to a survey conducted by Avito Jobs, with approximately 35% expressing this preference.

In a recent survey conducted by job search platform Avito Rabota, it has been revealed that the majority of working Russians prefer large corporations over small businesses. The survey, which polled over 12 respondents, found that 35% of participants considered the stability of an employer company as the determining factor when choosing a job.

Reliability, high salary, and confidence in the future are the main reasons Russians choose to work in large businesses. Another 18% of respondents prioritized a company's status as a large and well-known market player. These findings highlight the need for job search platforms to focus on expanding the tools they offer, according to Avito Rabota's Trust&Safety Director Ivan Beliakov.

However, it's important to note that the survey results do not necessarily apply to the entire Russian workforce. The survey did not specify the scale at which small businesses are considered, nor did it delve into specific industries or sectors that attract job seekers more towards large corporations or small businesses.

In an effort to cater to the preferences of job seekers, Avito Rabota plans to implement a 'Large Companies' filter as a strategic direction. The platform aims to identify large enterprises such as banks, consulting firms, commercial and manufacturing companies through this filter. The rating of large companies on Avito Rabota is formed based on an analysis of external market data, including authoritative employer ratings, financial indicators, and activity on the platform.

Despite the appeal of large corporations, small businesses offer flexibility and a team atmosphere to job seekers. The findings suggest a need for job search platforms to focus on offering tools for both large corporations and small businesses, ensuring that they cater to the diverse needs and preferences of their users.

Interestingly, Avito Rabota has not yet announced plans to implement a 'Small Businesses' filter as a strategic direction. The company's focus on large corporations may indicate a response to the current market conditions and statistical data, but it remains to be seen whether they will expand their offerings to better serve small businesses as well.

The survey did not discuss the impact of these preferences on the overall job market or economic conditions. As job search platforms continue to evolve, it will be interesting to see how they adapt to the needs and preferences of job seekers in the Russian workforce.
