Zennor Asset Management Closes Flagship Japan Fund and Announces New Hire

Zennor Asset Management has announced the closure of its flagship IUP Zennor Japan Fund, a move intended to maintain the fund's investment flexibility and performance potential. The decision to close the fund comes after it surpassed $1 billion in assets, a milestone that triggered the closure as a promise made to existing investors.

The closure of the Zennor Japan Fund is not related to the upcoming launch of a new Japan 'larger cap' fund by Zennor Asset Management, which is scheduled for 2026. The new fund will be led by Nicolò Vezzoso, who is joining Zennor Asset Management's portfolio management team in February 2026.

Nicolò Vezzoso, formerly head of Fundamental Global Equity strategies at Anima, brings a decade of experience in Japanese equity markets to his new role. His expertise is expected to contribute significantly to the success of the new Japan 'larger cap' fund.

James Salter and David Mitchinson are existing members of Zennor Asset Management's portfolio management team, and they will work alongside Nicolò Vezzoso to manage the new fund.

The Zennor Japan Fund was closed to prevent compromising its investment flexibility or performance potential over time. The assets of the closed fund will not be transferred to the new Japan 'larger cap' fund.

The new Japan 'larger cap' fund is not a flagship fund of Zennor Asset Management, unlike the Zennor Japan Fund, which has been a cornerstone of the company's offerings.

Zennor Asset Management is expanding its portfolio management team with the addition of Nicolò Vezzoso, a move that underscores the company's commitment to delivering high-quality investment strategies to its clients.
