Investment firm IK Partners manages to collect €2 billion for its fourth small cap investment fund.

IK Partners, a leading private equity firm, has announced the successful closing of its Small Cap IV Fund with €2 billion in commitments. This fund surpasses the firm's previous Small Cap fund, which raised €1.2 billion in 2021.

The Small Cap IV Fund targets growing businesses in the Business Services, Healthcare, Consumer, and Industrials sectors, with enterprise values between €80 million and €200 million. It also includes a €600 million Development Capital pool for investments in smaller companies valued between €20 million and €80 million.

Since the start of 2024, IK Partners has been active, investing in 21 new companies and completing 11 exits. However, specific details for the IK Small Cap IV Fund’s individual investments and performance are limited as the fund was only closed recently in July 2025 and has made just one reported investment so far.

The fundraising was quick, completed within six months, and retained strong support from existing investors, who accounted for about 80% of the capital. The geographically diverse investor base includes 71% from the EMEA region, 18% from North America, and 11% from Asia.

Kristian Kemppinen, Managing Partner and Head of Small Cap Strategy at IK Partners, expressed his gratitude to investors for their trust in the firm. Mads Ryum Larsen, Managing Partner and Head of Investor Relations, echoed these sentiments, expressing appreciation for investors' continued confidence and backing.

The success of the IK Small Cap IV Fund follows the successful close of IK's biggest flagship fund earlier this year. Christopher Masek, CEO of IK Partners, expressed continued benefits from positive market dynamics at the lower end of the mid-market. He stated, "We are well-positioned to continue supporting ambitious businesses and creating long-term value across our portfolio."

IK Partners' multi-strategy offering allows the firm to remain resilient in an ever-evolving landscape. With the successful close of the Small Cap IV Fund, IK Partners has now closed over €6 billion in commitments since 2024.
