World Food India 2025: A Global Gathering for Food Processing Innovation and Investment
The fourth edition of World Food India (WFI) is set to take place from September 25 to 28, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. This flagship global food and beverage event will bring together stakeholders from across the food value chain, fostering collaboration, innovation, and investment in India's agri-food sector.
The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) has outlined the key themes of World Food India 2025, emphasizing the showcasing of India's diverse food culture, innovations in food processing, and investment opportunities. The event aims to highlight India's leadership in food processing while promoting sustainability, global collaboration, and innovation within the food industry.
World Food India 2025 will feature participation from over 80 countries and more than 1,000 exhibitors, including global industry leaders, policymakers, and investors. Dedicated zones focusing on technology innovation, curated buyer-seller meetings, and high-level CEO roundtables will facilitate business networking and partnerships.
The event will also celebrate India's rich agricultural diversity and processed food products such as milk, millets, and pulses, emphasizing the country’s growing contribution to Gross Value Addition (GVA) in the sector.
Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, a modern exhibition venue well-equipped to host large international expos, will be the venue for this grand event. World Food India 2025 serves as a platform for startups, innovators, equipment manufacturers, logistics and cold chain operators, and food retailers to explore and expand in the Indian and global food processing markets.
Union Minister for Food Processing Industries, Chirag Paswan, launched the official WFI 2025 brochure, mobile application, and website at a Curtain Raiser event held on July 23, 2025, at The Lalit, New Delhi. The event was attended by senior officials from various Central Ministries, state governments, and foreign embassies.
Minister Paswan stated that WFI 2025 is expected to be the biggest edition yet, with over 90 countries and more than 2,000 exhibitors likely to participate. The event aligns with the government's Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative and Vision India@2047, positioning India as a key player in the global food innovation and investment landscape.
World Food India 2025 is considered a key platform for showcasing India's potential as a global hub for food innovation and investment. FICCI will serve as the national event partner, and Ernst & Young LLP has been named the knowledge partner for the event. A promotional video highlighting India's agricultural and processing sector milestones was released at the Curtain Raiser event.
