International Wood Exhibition Held in Dubai with Participation from 781 Exhibitors Across 50 Countries
The 21st Dubai International Wood and Woodworking Machinery Exhibition (Dubai WoodShow 2023) is currently underway at the Dubai World Trade Centre, showcasing the latest innovations and advancements in the wood and furniture industries. This global event, running until April 16, brings together 781 exhibitors and over 1,662 brands from 50 countries, making it a critical hub for networking and business expansion in the global wood sector.
The exhibition features 12 international pavilions from key countries including China, India, the US, Germany, and Italy. Exhibitors are showcasing a wide range of products, including wooden panels, engineered wood, advanced woodworking machinery, adhesives, coatings, furniture accessories, and industry-specific software.
The twin exhibitions, which also include the 7th Dubai International Furniture Accessories, Components & Semi-Finished Products Exhibition (DIFAC), offer a dynamic, global platform for innovation, trade, and collaboration. DIFAC focuses on the latest technologies and products in the furniture industry, including hinges, locks, upholstery, finishes, and production tools.
The event was inaugurated by Mahir Abdul Karim Julfar, Executive Vice President of the Dubai World Trade Centre. In his speech, Julfar emphasized the exhibition's role in supporting the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, driving foreign investment, and enhancing Dubai's position as a regional industrial and logistics hub. Senior officials and international delegates attended the inauguration.
Dawood Al Shezawi, President of the exhibition, highlighted the growing demand for wood and natural materials in construction, design, and decor. On the first day, expert-led discussions and workshops were held, covering timber market forecasts across the MENA region, ocean freight logistics, and timber trends in Northern and Central Europe and North Africa.
