Insights on Snowflake's Collaborative Initiative: A Comprehensive Guide to Their Partner Program

Snowflake, the cloud-based data warehousing company, has been making strides in its partnership program, with a focus on fostering collaboration and innovation.

Initially founded in 2012 by Benoit Dageville, Thierry Cruanes, and Marcin Zukowski in San Mateo, California, Snowflake has since grown to have approximately 8500 staff across 40 offices. The company's headquarters is now located in Bozeman, Montana.

Snowflake's regional vice president for partners, Dan Waters, highlighted the importance of partners in Snowflake's global ambitions. He stated that Snowflake works with partners to develop market solutions and train them for innovation. The Snowflake Partner Network (SPN) consists of partners that sell, deliver, and provide strategic advisory, as well as those that build applications and are strategic from a technology and platform perspective.

The SPN has partner types in Select, Premier, and Elite tiers, including AI Data Cloud Services partners, AI Data Cloud Product partners, and Data Cloud partners like AWS, Microsoft, and Google. To join the SPN, partners can sign up using the Enroll button and are sought for domain expertise, data specialists, and partners with broad segment or vertical expertise that want to drive innovation for their customers.

Snowflake offers a range of benefits, rewards, and incentives to its partners. These include the CoSell Referrals program, deal registration, services registration, Services Funds Program (SFP), partner migration services, Systems Integrator (SI) partner services, Practice Development Program funding for Elite partners, ISV funding program for Data Cloud partners, a forum, a data sharing rebate program, a developer community, a partner, apps, and solutions finder, the Powered by Snowflake program, a resource library, QuickStarts guides, live demos with Q&A, Snowflake Marketplace, and more.

Snowflake provides training via Snowflake University, accessible through the Snowflake Community, and offers partner-only courses, learning tracks, and on-demand training. The company also offers certifications, renewable every two years, such as SnowPro Associate, SnowPro Core, SnowPro Specialty, and SnowPro Advanced certifications.

Recently, Snowflake announced plans to acquire open-source Postgres provider Crunchy Data in June 2025 to develop secure agentic AI faster. This move is part of Snowflake's strategy to strengthen its engineering capabilities in cloud data warehousing and AI.

Snowflake's partner program has undergone changes that have received positive feedback from the channel community. Fawad Qureishi, Snowflake's global industry field CTO, stated that businesses need AI to convert data into "digital fuel", requiring complete lineage traceability and audit of entire processes. To this end, the Snowflake Platform offers capabilities for data integration and collaboration, data source connectivity, and developer tooling.

Highlighted offerings on the Snowflake Platform include Snowflake ML for model development and ML ops, Snowpark libraries and code execution, and Cortex AI for accessing large language models (LLMs). The Snowflake Platform is a serverless, managed service that offers built-in governance, finops, and observability, and is designed to provide a data platform as a self-managed service, handling maintenance, management, upgrades, and tuning.

Snowflake's revenue for 2026 Q1 was 30% higher than 2024. In Q1 of 2026, Snowflake reported a revenue of $1 billion, following a full-year 2025 revenue of $3.5 billion, despite a $1.5 billion loss. Snowflake aims to hit $10 billion by 2030.

Snowflake can be contacted via email at [email protected] or through the sales contact page. The company is also active on various social media platforms, including LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Threads, and X, and there's a LinkedIn SPN group for partners.

In July, Chris Niederman joined Snowflake from AWS as the alliances and channels leader. He emphasized partner-led growth, reiterating Snowflake and partners' role in ushering in "the era of enterprise AI, where AI is easy, efficient, and trusted".

Sridhar Ramaswamy, Snowflake's CEO, expressed his confidence in this partnership-driven approach, stating that Snowflake and partners are poised to lead the way in the era of enterprise AI.
