Industry Veteran Alexander Jenbar Named New CTO for Germany at Deutsche Telekom
Alexander Jenbar, an industry veteran with decades of experience, is set to become the new Chief Technology Officer for Germany at Deutsche Telekom. Meanwhile, Abdu Mudesir, a long-serving executive at the company, has been appointed to the board of directors, taking over the Technology and Innovation role from Claudia Nemat, who has stepped down after 14 years.
Jenbar brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having held senior positions at companies like T-Mobile Polska, Telekom Romania, and TDC Net in Denmark. Most recently, he served as the Chief Technology and Innovation Officer on the board of T-Mobile Polska. His appointment comes as Deutsche Telekom seeks to strengthen its technology leadership in Germany.
Mudesir, who has been with Deutsche Telekom since 2018, has risen through the ranks to take on this significant board position. He previously held roles such as Managing Director of Technology at Telekom Deutschland and CTO of Deutsche Telekom AG. Before joining Deutsche Telekom, Mudesir worked at Altran and Huawei. His promotion reflects the company's commitment to developing talent from within. Nemat's departure, at her own request, follows her consideration for the succession of CEO Tim Höttges, and she leaves to pursue new challenges.
Alexander Jenbar's appointment as CTO for Germany signals Deutsche Telekom's commitment to driving technological innovation in the region. Meanwhile, Abdu Mudesir's promotion to the board demonstrates the company's confidence in its internal talent pipeline. With Jenbar and Mudesir at the helm, Deutsche Telekom looks set to continue its technological advancements and leadership.
