Iconic SUV undergoes transformation into budget-friendly variant, slated for imminent debut on UK highways
The automotive world is abuzz with the upcoming release of a new SUV model from Mercedes-Benz - the "Mini G." This new vehicle is set to be the entry point for a range of incoming Mercedes models and will make its debut in the UK market soon after its public prototype testing phase, which is expected to begin around late 2025.
According to Mercedes CEO Ola Källenius, the "Mini G" must be authentic, while also boasting a more modern design compared to the current G-Class. Design boss Gorden Wagener echoes this sentiment, describing the "Mini G" as a "tweaked" G-Class, with a sports design using nearly all unique parts.
The "Mini G" will be based on new architecture, ensuring it maintains the authentic G-Class traits while transitioning to an electric vehicle. It will be exclusively sold as an EV, featuring an 800-volt system for high performance and an estimated range of over 500 km.
Wagener emphasized the importance of understanding the iconic nature of the G-Class and ensuring the fundamentals of the "Mini G" design stay the same. The vehicle will have a bit more sharpness and younger headlight graphics, setting it apart from its predecessor while still retaining its iconic status.
A preview image of the rear of the new vehicle was recently revealed at a show in Munich, offering a sneak peek into the "Mini G's" sleek and modern design. Test mules of the vehicle are expected to appear on roads very soon, further fueling anticipation for this exciting new addition to the Mercedes-Benz lineup.
Sun Motors, a trusted provider of financing options and deals with trusted dealers, will offer innovative financing and concierge services for the "Mini G." Additionally, Sun Motors allows customers to choose from a variety of fuel types, models, and top brands, providing flexibility for those looking to make the switch to electric vehicles.
Interestingly, Sun Motors ranks vehicles by customer searches, not payments, offering insight into the growing demand for the "Mini G." With its modern design, authentic G-Class traits, and electric power, it's no wonder that the "Mini G" is generating such excitement in the automotive industry.
The "Mini G" is set to be unveiled at IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. Stay tuned for more updates on this highly anticipated new vehicle.
