Hyundai Unveils Elantra N TCR Edition in Canada

Hyundai has entered the Canadian market with the launch of the Elantra N TCR Edition, a street-legal version of their successful touring car racer. The vehicle is a testament to Hyundai's commitment to delivering track-level excitement for everyday driving enthusiasts.

The Elantra N TCR Edition is powered by a 276-horsepower turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine, available with a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic. Performance upgrades include a large adjustable carbon "swan neck" spoiler, forged wheels, upgraded four-piston front brake calipers, Alcantara interior trim, and exclusive TCR badging.

Pricing in Canada starts at about CAD 47,599 (~USD 36,271), with no firm pricing or availability announced for the U.S. market yet. Despite the lack of official confirmation, sources suggest that the Elantra N TCR Edition might be coming to the U.S. market in the future, given the market similarities and Hyundai's history of introducing special models in Canada first.

Hyundai Canada is proud of the vibrant N community in Canada and is thrilled to celebrate this milestone with them. Michael Ricciuto, director of product and corporate strategy at Hyundai Canada, stated that the N brand is about passion for driving and the community it creates.

To mark the occasion, a dedicated event will be held in Ontario, Canada to celebrate the launch of the Elantra N TCR Edition. The gathering aims to celebrate both the launch of the Elantra N TCR Edition and the 10th anniversary of Hyundai's N performance sub-brand. The event will also commemorate the 10th anniversary of Hyundai's N performance sub-brand.

The Elantra N TCR Edition has already proven its worth on the racetrack, with the racing Elantra N having claimed two IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge TCR championships. In Canada, the vehicle has been campaigned by the Bryan Herta Autosport team.

The Elantra N TCR Edition includes a set of black 19-inch N TCR forged alloy wheels, N Performance brakes with four-piston monoblock calipers at the front with two-piece rotors, and interior features such as an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, parking brake handle, and gear shifter.

The event at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park will take place in August, providing fans with the opportunity to get up close and personal with the Elantra N TCR Edition. While the vehicle may not yet be available in the U.S., the success of the Elantra N TCR Edition in Canada is a promising sign for driving enthusiasts in the States.
