Hazardous structures set for demolition in a district of Omsk

In Omsk, two multi-family residential buildings in the Lenin District are set for demolition by the end of 2032. The buildings, located at 23 Liteiny Street (on the Moscow Highway) and 35 Urozhaynaya Street, have been declared emergency due to structural concerns or outdated infrastructure.

The buildings, both single-story and containing multiple apartments, were constructed in 1957 (on Liteiny Street) and 1938 (on Urozhaynaya Street). The emergency status was confirmed on July 8, following a commission's decision.

As a result, the residents of these buildings must be relocated by December 31, 2032. This mass relocation could potentially lead to a decrease in the number of available apartments in Omsk, causing an increase in rental prices.

Indeed, rental prices for studios in Omsk have seen a notable rise in August, with the highest recorded studio rental price standing at 55,000. However, the exact cause for this increase is not specified in the article.

Meanwhile, the Department of Housing Policy in Omsk is responsible for proposing the further use of the apartment at Kirpichny Zavod Settlement No 7, house 16, by the end of 2032. This apartment, unlike the others, is not scheduled for demolition and will continue to be used after the relocation of residents from the emergency buildings.

The emergency declarations and relocations have also affected other buildings in the Lenin District and Port Arthur. Two more properties have been deemed uninhabitable: a private house at 19 Line Street, house 6b, and an apartment in a two-story building at Kirpichny Zavod Settlement No 7, house 16.

As the situation develops, residents and potential renters in Omsk are advised to stay informed about the city's housing policies and any changes that may impact the rental market.
