Golden State Mining Completes High-Res Aeromagnetic Survey at Southern Cross East Gold Project
Golden State Mining (ASX: GSM) has completed a high-resolution aeromagnetic survey at its 100%-owned Southern Cross East gold project in Western Australia. The survey, conducted using state-of-the-art equipment, aims to better define prospective structures and refine gold drill targets.
The survey, covering 3,053 line kilometers at a 100-meter line spacing, was completed over three days in September 2025. It utilised advanced equipment such as G-823A cesium vapour magnetometers and an RSI RS-500 gamma-ray spectrometer. The data collected will now undergo sophisticated processing to filter out noise and produce interpretable magnetic maps highlighting geological features of interest.
GSM expects to complete the interpretation of the aeromagnetic data by December 2025. This will inform the next phase of exploration drilling, supporting the company's systematic, multi-technique exploration strategy that has already validated initial targets through soil geochemistry and preliminary drilling. Aeromagnetic surveys help reveal hidden geological structures that control gold mineralisation but are not visible at the surface.
The Southern Cross East project, situated in Western Australia's historically productive gold belt, offers shareholders undiluted exposure to exploration success. With the aeromagnetic survey complete, GSM looks forward to refining its exploration targets and advancing the project towards potential gold discovery.
