Hear this, buddy! It seems the world's wealth ballooned by a whopping 4.4% in the past year compared to the ol' 2023, yet this growth wasn't as hearty as the average 5.1% over the last five years. And you got financial assets to thank for that, they powered up by 8% due to a solid stock market performance across several developed and developing nations.

Now, check this out, the heftiest wheat-generating regions were North America (+15.3% year-on-year), followed by the APAC (+10.7%) and Central Asia-Eastern Europe (+8.4%). On the flip side, the Latin American economy took a hit, losing 9.3%, while Japan managed a meager +1.9%.

BCG analysts, being the soothsayers they are, predict that APAC will keep chugging along at a 9% growth rate up until 2029. That's hotter than North America (+4%) and Western Europe (+5%).

IMF tossed their two cents in, too. According to their April forecast, global GDP will increase by 2.8% in 2025 (down from their January prediction of 3.3%). By 2026, they're expecting a 3% growth (a drop from the January report's 3.3%). Russia's economy is projected to grow by 1.5% in 2025, an improvement compared to the previous forecast, but 2026's prediction took a nose dive from 1.2% to 0.9%. The U.S. economy's forecast wasn't any rosier either, it was revised downward to 1.8% in 2025 (from 2.7% in the January forecast) and to 1.7% in 2026 (from 2.1%).
