Authorities in Germany are conducting additional investigations into a Bosnian-German couple suspected of helping an illegal resident and evading social security registration for employees in the construction industry.
A Bosnian construction worker was discovered living and working illegally in Germany for the couple. The investigation, led by the Ingolstadt public prosecutor's office, centres around allegations that the couple did not register their employees for social security, with workers putting in long hours, sometimes up to 60 per month, off the books.
Officers recently searched the couple's property in the Eichstaett district as part of the ongoing probe. While the names of those involved remain confidential, the investigation into suspected assistance in illegal residence continues.
