The company has also expanded its presence in South Wales through the acquisition of Smithers Purslow, a multi-disciplinary chartered surveying practice, for £20m.

In the latest round of promotions, Nick Coffey has been promoted to senior associate and Kenneth Lo to associate at Gateley Vinden. At GSP, Ben Caldwell has been promoted to director, while Paul Walker-Jones and James Read have stepped into director roles. Anna Powell (neé Polton) and Jonny Aldridge have been promoted to senior quantity surveyor, and Zoe Hiller, Ben Wheeler, and Ali Haggis have all been made up to senior building surveyor.
The promotions extend beyond these roles, with seven new regional managers and Andrew Maude being promoted to head of expert witness at GSP. Fraser Galloway and Peter Johnson have been promoted to technical standards manager and quality assurance manager, respectively, at GSP. Bryan Downey has been promoted to technical director.
The Cardiff team, led by regional manager and chartered building surveyor, John Osborn, is a significant part of the expansion. Gateley Vinden and GSP have also been awarded gold and platinum status of the IIP We invest in people accreditation, respectively.
The teams at GSP and Gateley RJA provide advice on construction, planning, residential development, real estate finance, disputes, and investment within Gateley's Property Platform. The acquisitions and promotions are part of Gateley's diversification strategy and continued growth in headcount.
