Former Galeria shopping mall now envisioned as residential apartments
The city is witnessing promising developments regarding the unused space in a building that houses the non-food discount store Tedi. According to recent reports, initial tangible results have emerged from the ongoing negotiations about the 8,000 square meters of space that remains vacant.
The building, which has been closed since before January 2024, has seen Tedi move into its ground floor in that month. Prior to Tedi's arrival, the ground floor, as well as the rest of the building, was vacant.
The size of Tedi's occupation within the building is not specified, but the negotiations about the unused space are not limited to the ground floor. In fact, the city is involved in these negotiations, and the exact details have yet to be disclosed.
The company initiating these preliminary negotiations to rent the unused space is not yet known, but the negotiations are ongoing. The city's involvement and the initial tangible progress suggest that this unused space may soon find a new purpose.
As the negotiations continue, the city and potential renters will need to consider the size and location of the space, as well as the needs of the community. With the potential for a new tenant to bring life back to this building, the future of this space in the city is eagerly anticipated.
