Ford's Flagship 2026 F-Series Super Duty Tremor Receives Power Strokes Upgrade
2026 Ford F-Series Super Duty Tremor Offers New Diesel Engine Option
The 2026 Ford F-Series Super Duty Tremor off-road trims have received an exciting update, introducing a third engine option. This new addition is a lower-output version of Ford’s Power Stroke diesel V8, providing a middle ground between the existing 7.3-liter gas V8 and the high-output 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel V8.
For those who prefer diesel power, the new engine option is rated at 475 hp and 1,050 lb-ft of torque, offering a compelling choice for customers seeking a balance between performance and fuel efficiency. The high-output 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel V8, known for its best-in-class performance, continues to be available, producing up to 500 hp and 1,200 lb-ft of torque. The 7.3-liter V8 gas engine, affectionately known as "Godzilla," remains an option for those who prefer gas power. All engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
In addition to the new engine option, the 2026 Super Duty lineup now offers the SuperCab Short Bed, a 148-inch wheelbase truck with a 6.75-foot bed and an extended cab. This new model provides more versatility for customers who require a shorter bed but still need the space offered by an extended cab.
The updates do not extend to the exterior or interior design of the F-Series Super Duty Tremor. However, the lineup has received a number of other enhancements, including the Lariat Premium Package, the STX Appearance Package for dual rear wheels, new colors, and improved safety and connectivity features.
Ford Connectivity, offering a WiFi hotspot, will be an optional package for the Super Duty lineup, with seven years of service for retail buyers and one year for fleet customers. The optional package will provide a one-time purchase for internet-dependent features. Two new colors, Argon Blue Metallic and Marsh Gray Metallic, are available for retail customers, while Iconic Silver Metallic is a new option for fleet buyers.
Orders for the 2026 F-Series Super Duty Tremor are now open, but pricing will be announced closer to its launch date in the fall. The updates apply to the F-Series Super Duty Tremor off-road trims and are part of a number of minor changes across the Super Duty lineup from the F-250 to the F-550 chassis cab.
