During the painting marathon, the artists worked with the real-life environment, striving to convey their impressions. They split up into smaller groups based on their interests. Some drew portraits of the factory workers; one of the protagonists of these portraits is Mikhail Yosifovich Arshanskiy, an honorary citizen of Nižny Tagil and Sverdlovsk region, who has worked at the factory for over 60 years. Students of one of the educational institutions in Nižny Tagil drew a complex of the factory management's buildings belonging to EVRZ NTMK.
