Real estate company BPD (Bouwfonds Real Estate Development GmbH) has made a significant move in the development of the new city district 'Katharinenhöfe', situated in the heart of Alt-Willich, by commencement of the sale of the initial 28 owner-occupied apartments during the past weekend.

The Katharinenhöfe project, located near the Konrad-Adenauer Park in Willich, Germany, is a modern urban development designed to create a vibrant and sustainable living environment. Last Saturday, the residential project was launched under perfect weather conditions, with Mayor Christian Pakusch in attendance.

The high demand for high-quality housing in an attractive location is evident from the great interest shown in the Katharinenhöfe project. BPD is developing 72 owner-occupied apartments and 47 rental apartments on a 14,700 square meter site, formerly the Katharinenhospital.

Katharinenhöfe offers a variety of apartment types catering to diverse resident needs. These typically include one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, designed with modern layouts and high-quality finishes to ensure comfortable living spaces. The owner-occupied apartments range in size from approximately 56 square meters to 110 square meters, with direct access to an underground garage, elevators, and private outdoor areas.

A significant focus of the Katharinenhöfe development is on integrating green spaces within the urban setting. The project incorporates landscaped gardens, communal green areas, and possibly rooftop gardens or courtyards, which enhance the quality of life for residents by providing natural surroundings and recreational spaces.

To foster a self-sufficient neighbourhood, Katharinenhöfe includes commercial spaces such as shops, cafes, or service providers. These commercial areas are typically located on the ground floors, promoting convenience and supporting a vibrant street life. The Katharinenhöfe is a new residential and commercial quarter in the city.

Pakusch stated that the Katharinenhöfe successfully rethinks living, retail, and green spaces in Old Willich's city center. The urban planning concept includes two separate courtyard situations connected by generous green spaces. In the first construction phase, four and seven 28 owner-occupied apartments with underground garage will be built. The 72 owner-occupied apartments are spread across seven buildings.

Visitors had the opportunity to view the planned architecture and living concept, discuss with the sales team, and receive exclusive information during the launch event. Many interested parties visited the construction site to gather information about the modern owner-occupied apartments. The Katharinenhöfe project aims to create a well-rounded community atmosphere, balancing living, leisure, and commerce. The development will provide subsidized, affordable, and free-market housing, contributing to the diversity of the neighbourhood.
