Financial Services: Strategic Management of Capital and Risk for Corporate Clients

JPMorgan has announced the appointment of Kamal Jabre as the new Vice Chair of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A). Jabre, a seasoned banking executive, joins the Wall Street giant following his departure from HSBC.

At HSBC, Jabre served as the global head of M&A for seven years. Prior to joining HSBC, he spent 22 years at Morgan Stanley, where he served as the head of the financial sponsors group for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.

Amid HSBC's decision to cull parts of its investment banking operations, Jabre will focus on bolstering JPMorgan's M&A business across EMEA in his new role. He will collaborate with JPMorgan's coverage teams, financial sponsors, natural resources, and Middle East and North Africa groups to foster growth in these regions.

Following his exit from HSBC, Jabre will undoubtedly bring a wealth of experience to JPMorgan as the bank seeks to expand its influence in the M&A sector. The move also marks the latest top exit from HSBC, underlining the ongoing transformation at the UK lender.

Jabre, with his extensive experience in M&A, will likely utilize his knowledge to bolster JPMorgan's expanding investment business, particularly in the European, Middle Eastern, and African regions. Given his success in this sector during his tenure at HSBC and Morgan Stanley, his arrival at JPMorgan is expected to contribute significantly to the bank's venture in finance and business growth.
