Financial institution Open Banking Limited Welcomes Melanie Lazarus in Role as Ecosystem Liaison Leader
Melanie Lazarus has joined Open Banking Limited (OBL) as the Ecosystem Engagement Director, a role that sees her sit on the executive committee and play a pivotal part in supporting OBL's transition to a future entity.
Lazarus, who started her new role on 22 April 2022, brings a wealth of experience in brand strategy, organisational transformation, and customer engagement to OBL. Prior to joining the organisation, she held the position of Brand and Marketing Strategy Director at Barclaycard Payments.
In her new role, Lazarus will focus on strengthening OBL's external relationships and engagement with key partners. She will oversee the evolution of the engagement strategy with partners across the Open Banking ecosystem, with the aim of building a more connected, inclusive, and dynamic Open Banking community.
Lazarus' responsibilities at OBL also include stakeholder relationship management, brand development, thought leadership, digital engagement, and customer insights. She is excited to bring these skills to OBL and help drive the organisation's mission to enhance competition and innovation in financial services through secure data sharing.

The Open Banking Expo Awards 2025, in partnership with Raidiam, are now open for entries. The winners of these awards will be announced at a ceremony on 21 October 2025 at the Business Design Centre in London. Lazarus has also joined the judging panel for these awards.
