Starting from August 14, 2025, the city of Halle (Saale) will introduce parking fees in the city centre, including the parking areas in Steg street and the Holzplatz/Mansfelder-Straße parking lot. The new parking fees are as follows:
- Parking for 30 minutes in the Steg parking areas and the Holzplatz/Mansfelder-Straße Parking Lot will cost 1.00 €.
- The minimum charge for parking in the Steg parking areas and the Holzplatz/Mansfelder-Straße Parking Lot is 1.00 €.
- Parking for 24 hours at the Holzplatz/Mansfelder-Straße Parking Lot costs 10.00 €.
- A weekly ticket for the Holzplatz/Mansfelder-Straße Parking Lot costs 30.00 €.
- The maximum charge for parking in the Steg parking areas is 50.00 €.
The Holzplatz/Mansfelder-Straße Parking Lot operates from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, every day of the week. Payment for the Holzplatz/Mansfelder-Straße Parking Lot can be made with coins, cards, and via mobile app.
The city's parking expansion is based on the "Parking Space Management Principles" adopted by the city council and aims to reduce parking search traffic.
