Two renowned figures in European policy and law have joined EUTOP Brussels SRL, a leading European consultancy specializing in policy advisory, including EU affairs and transatlantic relations.

Felix Dane, the founder and managing director of EUTOP, has expanded his team with the addition of Christian Schaufler. Both Dane and Schaufler will co-manage EUTOP Brussels SRL, bringing their extensive experience to the forefront of the firm's operations.

Felix Dane's career path is marked by a rich history in European policies. Before joining EUTOP Brussels SRL on May 13, 2025, he completed a traineeship at the European Commission and headed the office of an MEP. Prior to this, he worked with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) and Berlin Global Advisors, a strategic consultancy focusing on European and transatlantic policies.

Christian Schaufler, on the other hand, has extensive experience in EU law, particularly in the areas of competition law and state aid. He joined EUTOP Brussels SRL in September 2024, having previously worked as a legal adviser at the European Parliament and a partner at the law firm Hengeler Mueller.

Schaufler's contributions to EU law are significant. He was involved in the drafting of the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and is a frequent speaker at conferences and events on EU law and competition policy. Prior to his legal career, Schaufler worked as a research assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property, Competition, and Tax Law.

Schaufler's linguistic skills are equally impressive. He is fluent in German, English, French, and Italian, making him a valuable asset in the multilingual environment of Brussels.

Before joining EUTOP Brussels SRL, Dane transitioned to the private sector and established the London office of the geopolitical consulting firm Berlin Global Advisors. In 2009, he moved to the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) and led overseas offices in the Palestinian territories, Brazil, and the UK and Ireland. From February 2025, Dane served as a structural consultant to the EUTOP Group before joining EUTOP Brussels SRL.
