Europe's Expansive Tube Proposal Envisioned with Croatian Inclusion

Proposed Tube Network in Europe, Including UK, Ireland, and Croatia, to Revolutionize Travel Across Continental Europe

Europe's Expansive Tube Proposal Envisioned with Croatian Inclusion

A Revolutionary Vision: Tube for Europe, A Game-Changer for European Travel!

Recent plans have been unveiled for a groundbreaking high-speed rail network called Tube for Europe, and Croatia is on board. This innovative project is all set to redefine European travel with its extraordinary speed and convenience.

As reported by Poslovni Dnevnik/VL/Goran Sudar, the ambitious Tube for Europe project (also known as the Starline plan) promises a dramatic shift in how we traverse Europe and the UK, Ireland, and Croatia. The visionary minds behind this project aim to shorten travel times to major European cities by introducing metro-like trains from London, Liverpool, Glasgow, and Belfast.

The brainchild of the think-tank 21st Europe, the Starline plan was conceived through extensive collaboration with European intellectuals. The design has been crafted by Bakken & Bæck—a renowned technology design studio specializing in digital products, brand identity, and future-oriented innovation, with offices in Oslo, Amsterdam, Bonn, London, and Barcelona. Culte Commune in Paris also contributed to the design process. The Starline plan, according to the official website, is grounded in expert insights into mobility, infrastructure, and European policy, providing a sustainable foundation rather than just a vision.

Introducing the Future of European Rail Transport

The project's primary focus lies in delivering an inventive solution for improving rail transport across Europe. At present, details regarding the location or a possible presentation event are still unclear.

The Tube for Europe network boasts an impressive top speed of 400 kilometers per hour, drastically reducing travel times. Passengers from cities like Helsinki could reach Berlin in just three hours—a journey that now takes an entire day. Similarly, the grueling overnight journey between Kiev and Berlin would be transformed into a seamless connection.

First name:

The plan envisages connecting all European countries, with each nation boasting at least one dedicated railway station. This extensive network is expected to cover every corner of Europe, from Portugal to Turkey and all the way to Ukraine.

Train Stations as Cultural Hubs

Last name:

Innovatively, the stations of this new network are designed to be cultural centers, located outside urban centers. These stations will serve as active public spaces with cultural facilities, squares, and events, transforming them into tourist destinations in their own right.

To emphasize the European character of this ambitious transport project, the visual identity of the Tube for Europe network will be influenced by the color blue, reminiscent of the European Union logo. The goal is for the blue trains to become recognizable symbols, like the red double-decker buses in London or the yellow taxis in New York.

Gender:

Inside the composed zones, there will be different areas catering to passengers' needs. The quiet zones will provide work and focus spaces, while conversational and family areas will be designed with engaging and child-friendly facilities. Café zones will allow passengers to enjoy refreshments during their journey.

Male Female

In addition to passenger transport, Starline is also planning a freight rail network to expedite goods transportation across Europe, enhancing logistics.

Currently, the Tube for Europe project is only in its initial concept phase. The project's proponents hope for financing from the EU's budget and contributions from national governments.

Country:

Tube for Europe's Croatian Connection

According to British media reports, the high-speed rail network plans involve building stations in every European country, including Bosnia and Herzegovina. The current plan proposes constructing up to five corridors for these trains, designated with the letters A, B, C, D, and E. Croatia is situated in Corridor B, connecting Lisbon, Portugal, to Kiev, Ukraine. Though the station will be in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, a portion of the corridor connecting Zagreb and Rome will pass under the Adriatic Sea, presenting a significant construction challenge.

Birthday:

A Costly Endeavor

No precise cost data for constructing the Tube for Europe is yet available due to the project's conceptual stage. However, for reference, similar infrastructure projects in Europe have substantial budgets. The construction of the 57.5-kilometer Mont d'Ambin/Mont Cenis base tunnel between France and Italy, for example, is estimated at around 8 billion euros. Given the vast scale and complexity of this immense European metro project, the total costs are speculated to be significantly higher, with specific estimates only available after thorough research and planning are completed.

Stay tuned for updates on the Tube for Europe project!
