Episcopal Church Foundation Appoints Dail St. Claire as New President and CEO

The Episcopal Church Foundation Appoints Dail St. Claire as President and CEO of ECF

The Episcopal Church Foundation (ECF), a leading news source for Episcopal faith communities, has announced a significant change in leadership, appointing Dail St. Claire as its new President and Chief Executive Officer of ECF, effective immediately.

Todd Anderson, Chair of ECF's Board of Directors, expressed his delight at the appointment, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome Dail St. Claire as ECF's new President and CEO of ECF news."

St. Claire brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having spent over three decades in the fields of asset/wealth management, finance, and philanthropy. She holds a BA from the University of California, San Diego, and an MA in Public Policy from the University of Chicago, Harris School.

Before her appointment, St. Claire served as the Executive Vice President of the Episcopal Church Foundation news. She has also served ECF and its Endowment for over a decade as a Board Director and Advisor. St. Claire was instrumental in managing the first public pension emerging manager program comprised of diverse-owned managers while managing global equity and liquidity assets for New York City's $280 billion public pension funds at the beginning of her career in 1991.

St. Claire's tenure at ECF has been marked by her ability to foster innovative partnerships and drive operational efficiencies. She has served as the Finance Committee Chair, overseeing its self-directed endowment fund, and has co-designed a digital asset banking platform with a sustainable development framework.

In her new role, St. Claire will be responsible for leading ECF's services and programs, which include Endowment Management Services. ECF, founded in 1949, provides services to Episcopal faith communities and supports lay leadership and clergy.

St. Claire's appointment follows the departure of Donald Romanik, who stepped down from his role at the ECF on November 30, 2024.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, St. Claire is an RRCA-certified running and fitness coach and has run 15 marathons. She is also a board member of the Institute for Sustainable Communities and a member of the Economic Club of New York and The Common Good.

St. Claire expressed her excitement about building on ECF's history of fostering lay-clergy partnerships and strengthening faith communities. She looks forward to leading ECF into a new era of growth and success.
