Enterprise heat readiness certificates may be denied to nearly 2,000 businesses in Yakutsk
Unpaid Debts Threaten Winter Preparedness in Yakutia's Capital
A significant debt issue has arisen in the capital city of Yakutia, with over 1800 organizations at risk of not receiving a winter readiness certificate for the 2025-2026 season. The debt, amounting to over 473 million rubles, is for heat energy and hot water supply and has been reported by the branch of PJSC "DTEK" "Yakutskenergosbyt".
The heating season in Yakutsk and its suburbs began on September 8, as per the decree of the Yakutsk City Administration. The winter readiness certificate is a crucial confirmation of the reliability of heat supply objects and their readiness for operation during the heating season. However, the unpaid debt poses a threat to this readiness.
The branch of PJSC "DTEK" "Yakutskenergosbyt" has notified corporate clients and utility service providers about the need for prompt debt repayment for the supplied heat and hot water. The companies in question are legal entities in the capital of Yakutia.
Despite the notification, approximately 1800 organizations in the city are still at risk of not receiving the winter readiness certificate due to the unpaid debt. The entity reporting the debt emphasised that for any questions regarding heat supply contracts, the company's offices or specialists through the corporate clients' personal cabinet can be contacted.
It is important to note that there is no publicly available detailed list identifying the companies in the capital city at risk in preparing and issuing a winter preparedness certificate for 2025-2026 due to external debts related to energy resources.
The debt remains unpaid as the heating season for the 2025-2026 winter season has already started. This issue underscores the importance of timely payment for essential services and the potential consequences for businesses and the community at large when such payments are delayed.
