The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has published a detailed notification for the recruitment of Enforcement Officer/Account Officer (EO/AO) and Assistant Provident Fund Officer (APFO) posts. The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 230 vacancies, with 156 for EO/AO and 74 for APFO.

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for both EO/AO and APFO posts are as follows:

  • Nationality: Candidates must be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, a Tibetan refugee settled in India since 1962, or a person of Indian origin settled permanently in India from specified countries.
  • Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university is mandatory for both EO/AO and APFO posts. For APFO, a diploma in Company Law, Labour Laws, or Public Administration is desirable but not essential.
  • Age Limit:
  • EO/AO: Maximum 30 years (with relaxations up to 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and additional relaxations for PH and EPFO employees)
  • APFO: Maximum 35 years (with similar category-wise relaxations; up to 45 years for PwBD candidates)

The online application process for the recruitment drive is currently underway and will end on August 18, 2025. Candidates must submit scanned copies of required documents such as matriculation certificate, birth certificate, education certificates, and caste certificate (if applicable).

The pay scale for successful candidates under the 7th Central Pay Commission structure is as follows:
