Emaar Malls & Noon Launch Virtual Stores for Dubai Mall Retailers
Emaar Malls, in collaboration with Noon, is set to launch virtual stores for Dubai Mall retailers on the ecommerce platforms Noon and Namshi. This initiative aims to support retailers, especially SMEs and startups, by providing them with an online sales channel amidst reduced mall footfall due to social distancing measures.
The virtual stores, expected to launch within the next few days, will allow retailers to take inventory and make cashless deliveries free of charge. Tenants of The Dubai Mall can opt-in to list their products on Namshi, a fashion ecommerce platform fully acquired by Emaar Malls last year. This partnership between Emaar Malls and Noon, one of the largest ecommerce platforms in the Middle East, will enable Emaar Malls to expand its online presence and leverage Noon's extensive network to better represent its physical shopping centers online.
Noon is currently in talks with other mall operators to replicate this virtual mall initiative and anticipates announcing further partnerships soon.
The launch of these virtual stores on Noon and Namshi is a collaborative and bold measure by Emaar Malls to support its Dubai Mall retailers, particularly those without an active online presence. By providing a free, cashless delivery option and helping retailers take inventory, this initiative aims to mitigate the impact of reduced mall footfall due to social distancing measures.
