Eddie Huang Secures 12-Year Lease for Gazebo in NYC's East Village

Eddie Huang, the renowned US chef and TV personality, has agreed to pay $186,000 per year, or $15,500 per month, for a space at 159 Second Avenue in New York's East Village. The 12-year lease includes an 8-month free rent period for build-out and renovations.

Huang, known for his restaurant BaoHaus, aims to make this space the long-term home for his restaurant, Gazebo. The 2,100 square foot space, including a 1,200 square foot ground level and a 900 square foot basement, is adjacent to Abe Lebewohl Park. Huang requested the premises to be delivered in white-box condition with specific utilities and a certificate of occupancy for a commercial restaurant. The lease includes 3 percent escalations per year. Huang's new series, 'Looking to Settle', documents his search for this downtown restaurant space.
