Düsseldorf Wersten: Temporary Railway Service for Construction Work on Cologne Landstraße Impacting U74, U77, and U79 Lines.
Commencing this Friday, August 11, at 21:00, to Monday, August 14, at 4:00, ongoing track renewal works at the Werstener Kreuz/Kölner Landstraße area will disrupt the following services:
- Tram lines U74, U77, and U79 will be suspended, with replacement bus services provided.
- Bus lines SB50, 723, 727, 780, 782, and 785 will also experience disruptions, as will car traffic.
Automotive Traffic:
- From Oberbilk, left turns from Kölner Landstraße onto A46 will not be permitted. Vehicles heading towards Wersten will be routed single-lane past the construction site.
- From Werstener Straße and A46, left turns onto Kölner Landstraße will not be available. Vehicles turning right onto Kölner Landstraße will be diverted single-lane past the construction site.
- The area is advisable to avoid if possible. Detour signs will be set up.
Public Transport:
- Trams on line U74 and U77 will terminate at "Kaiserslautern Street" heading towards Holthausen, and return from there. Buses will operate between "Kaiserslautern Street" and "Holthausen," stopping at existing tram stops or temporary stops on the right side of the road.
- Trams on line U79 will terminate at "Werstener Dorfstraße" heading towards University, and will return to Duisburg. Passengers can alternatively use lines U71, U73, or U83 between "Werstener Dorfstraße" and "University Ost/Botanical Garden."
- Bus lines SB50, 727, 780, 782, and 785 will take detours from "Uni-Kliniken" and "South Park" stops, skipping "Werstener Dorfstraße." Passengers with "Werstener Dorfstraße" as their destination can use lines U71 and U83 from "Uni-Kliniken" and "South Park."
- Bus line 723 will take a wide detour from "South Park," with "Werstener Dorfstraße," "Provinzialplatz," "Wipperfürther Straße," "Ohligser Straße," and "Dillenburger Weg" stops relocated to "South Park." These stops will be serviced by line 732 towards Lausward.
