Diversions in Bus Lines 34 and 36 on Sunday Due to upcoming Triathlon competition
Halle Triathlon 2025: Temporary Bus Reroutes for Lines 34 and 36
The Halle Triathlon, scheduled for August 10, 2025, will result in temporary changes to bus routes in the city. Specifically, bus lines 34 and 36 will be rerouted due to the closure of the Gimritzer Damm in the outbound direction.
According to the Halle Transport Company (HAVAG), the rerouting will take effect between 6:30 AM and 2:00 PM. During this period, the stops at Gimritzer Damm (Stop D), Begonienstraße (Stop B), and Blüchersstraße/Peißnitzinsel (Stop B) will be skipped.
Instead, buses will follow a detour route. Beginning from Sanddornweg, they will travel via Begonienstraße to Blüchersstraße/Peißnitzinsel (Stop A), then to Gimritzer Damm (Stop A), and finally back to Begonienstraße (Stop A) before continuing towards Otto-Eißfeldt-Straße. Notably, the Gimritzer Damm will not be included in the reroute for the inbound direction.
Passengers are advised to plan their travel accordingly and check the HAVAG website or contact customer service for the most up-to-date information on the rerouting of bus lines 34 and 36. It is also worth noting that the tram traffic will not be affected by these changes.
The detour may cause delays or changes in travel times for passengers. After the detour, bus lines 34 and 36 will continue towards Heide-University Clinic as usual.
In light of previous triathlon events, it is likely that local authorities may implement temporary detours for public transport routes to accommodate road closures. For precise and up-to-date details on detours or reroutes for bus lines 34 and 36 during the 2025 triathlon, it is best to check official local transit websites, city announcements, or the event’s official communications.
In the context of the Halle Triathlon 2025, the transportation industry will experience temporary adjustments, especially in the finance department of the Halle Transport Company (HAVAG), as they will need to accommodate for reroutes in bus lines 34 and 36. These alterations might also influence the transportation sector, as the changes in the routes may lead to increased use of alternative modes of transport.
