Wiesbaden Bus Lines Affected by Detours due to Closures
Diversion of Buses on Bierstadter Strat
In Wiesbaden, several bus lines have been affected by detours due to closures on Patrickstraße and Gustav-Stresemann-Ring. The affected lines include 37, 17, 23, 24, and N11.
Detour on Patrickstraße
Since at least August 8, 2025, bus lines 17, 23, 24, and N11 have been impacted by a closure on Patrickstraße. The exact detour routes for these lines are yet to be specified, but passengers are advised to plan extra travel time due to these changes. The nearest boarding and alighting options for these lines are at the "Wartestraße", "Hildastraße", and "Alwinenstraße" stops.
Detour on Gustav-Stresemann-Ring for Line 37
In addition, Line 37 is also affected by the closure on Gustav-Stresemann-Ring, with a new detour in effect from August 18, 2025. The detour route for Line 37 towards Berliner Straße follows the usual path to Hauptbahnhof A, then continues over Gustav-Stresemann-Ring, turns into Wittelsbacherstraße, takes a bypass to Wettinerstraße, and then returns to the Gustav-Stresemann-Ring towards Berliner Straße. Relevant affected stops include Wiesbaden Statistisches Bundesamt, Mainz Mainzer Straße, and Wiesbaden Gartenfeldstr. P+R.
Line 37 shares this new route segment on Gustav-Stresemann-Ring with lines 16, 22, 28, 45, 46, N7, X26, 262, and school buses. However, Line 22 has a special route variation with a detour from Gustav-Stresemann-Ring to the Berufsschulzentrum (vocational school center), while lines 17, 23, 24, and N11 are primarily impacted by the Patrickstraße closure and associated detours.
Affected Stops and Alternative Options
During construction, Line 37 will not serve the stops "Plutoweg", "Wartestraße", "Fichtestraße/Handwerkskammer", and "Hans-Bredow-Straße". Passengers can board Line 37 at the stops "Fichtestraße" and "Wartestraße", but they should note that these stops will not be served during the construction period. The replacement stop "Hans-Bredow-Straße" is located in New-York-Straße and serves Line 37.
For buses traveling out of the city, the stops "Fichtestraße", "Wartestraße", and "Plutoweg" can be used. Buses for lines 17, 23, 24, and N11 will detour via Kirchbachstraße, Aukammallee, and Fichtestraße from the "Wartestraße" stop in Bierstadter Straße.

The closure on Gustav-Stresemann-Ring is not only affecting Line 37, but also lines 16, 22, 28, 45, 46, N7, X26, 262, and school buses, as they share a route segment on Gustav-Stresemann-Ring with Line 37. The affected public-transit lines in Wiesbaden, which include 37, 17, 23, 24, and N11, incur additional expenses in the finance industry due to their detours and changes in routes.
