Bonn, June 2nd, 2025: Prepare yourselves, package lovers, because DHL's about to shake things up! From July 1st, 2025, you can expect moderate price increases for shipping private customer packages and small parcels outside of Germany. The company will adapt package prices to various country zones more cost-effectively, with many zones and weight categories preserving their stable prices. Get ready for DHL's two amazing new products! From July 1st, non-EU shipping will welcome a new parcel up to 2 kg, exclusively available through online channels. Have you asked for insurance for your international parcels? Well, you'll no longer need to, as DHL will cease providing it. And guess what? The mobile label, previously restricted to only EU shipments, will now be accessible for worldwide shipping! You can simply drop off your QR-code-franked packages and small parcels at branches, Packstations, Poststations, and international packing machines.
Extra Changes Ahead:
- "Premium" service in international parcel shipping for private customers to be axed due to low demand
- Shipping cylindrical packages will see a slight rise in costs due to increased handling effort
- New economy sets of 10 labels for the "Päckchen XS" and "Paket bis 2 kg" products for EU shipping will be introduced
- However, the existing 50er and 100er discount levels will be discontinued for all products due to insufficient customer demand
- Coupon codes from discount sets bought before June 30th, 2025, will retain their 3-year validity
- Universal Postal Convention Compliance: The maximum weight for international packages will be restricted to 30 kg as most receiving countries only accept this limit
Local Price Modifications in Domestic Shipments
DHL will only adjust prices for the "Pluspacket" product and roll-form shipments.
