Developer Urbano Group pours EUR 100 million into wide-scale shopping complex close to Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
🎉 Exciting Retail Adventure Awaits in Cluj's Backyard! 🏭🛍️
Here's a scoop on Cluj-Napoca's latest shopping sensation - the Urbano Shopping & Living Retail Park! Valued at a whopping €100 million, this beast is set to become Transylvania's largest retail hub. 🤯
Urbano Group, the masterminds behind it, have already snagged the necessary permits to kick off Phase 1 of the project. They've got the construction green light for the Shopping Gallery and the urban infrastructure, including access roads, internal roads, and utility networks. 🏘️🚧
As for the Hornbach and Selgros buildings, those permits are in the works, with the retail giants handling their own investment schedules. Construction for these bad boys is expected to start shortly, and the grand opening of Phase 1? Mark your calendars for Q1 2026! 🎉🥳
Alexandru Șerban, co-founder of Urbano Group, couldn't be more thrilled: "We're pumped to announce the commencement of our newest project - the Urbano Shopping & Living Retail Park - as it cements Urbano Group's footprint in the Cluj Metropolitan Area." 👨💼
The retail park will stand tall on a 25-hectare plot in Florești, within the Cluj Metropolitan Area. Once Phase 1 wraps up, expect 45,000 sqm of retail and service space, developed on 155,000 sqm, out of a total of 245,000 sqm available land. 📊
In Phase 1, over 30 retailers are set to join forces, offering a mix of shopping, DIY, hypermarket, supermarket, and fast food options. 🛍️🍔 Meanwhile, Phase 2 (2026-2028) will bring even more retail, community services, family entertainment, sports facilities, hospitality, events, and other goodies. 🎉🎈
The Retail Park will ease traffic flow with a proposed modernization of the roundabout at the DN1/E60 intersection with DJ107M, as well as accessibility from Cluj-Napoca to Oradea and a mere 1.2 km distance from the Gilău junction of the Transylvania Highway (A3). 🚗
Alexandru Sastrăban, co-founder of Urbano Group, has also announced plans to invest in real-estate beyond retail, revealing a potential foray into financing for the development of the Urbano Shopping & Living Retail Park. With over 30 retailers committing to investing in Phase 1 of the project, this endeavor is set to revolutionize not only shopping experiences in Cluj, but also the landscape of investing in real-estate and finance within Transylvania's thriving economy.
