Deloitte Australia Boosts Cybersecurity with Hacktive Acquisition

Deloitte Australia is set to enhance its cybersecurity capabilities with the addition of Hacktive, a specialist team in cyber risk services, effective 11 October 2022. The team, based in Sydney, will join Deloitte's Risk Advisory practice, led by Ian Blatchford.

Hacktive, led by CEO Chris Gatford, who will become a Deloitte Risk Advisory partner, and Keith Hazelwood, who will take on the role of Risk Advisory principal, specialises in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and managed cybersecurity services. The team of ten will continue to serve clients across diverse sectors from their Sydney base.

Deloitte aims to expand its managed cybersecurity services with this acquisition, capitalising on the strong market demand highlighted by Blatchford. Gatford notes the ever-evolving nature of cyber threats, emphasising the need for organisations to understand and address these risks effectively.

The terms of the transaction remain confidential. With the addition of Hacktive, Deloitte strengthens its cybersecurity offerings, ensuring clients receive comprehensive protection against emerging cyber threats.
