Customs, police, and administrative authorities collaborate on enforcement action in Bad Salzuflen; Kiliansfest and construction sites under scrutiny
The Bielefeld Customs Office, in collaboration with the Lippe County Police Department and the Ordnungsamt of Bad Salzuflen, conducted a joint control action in the city center and nearby construction sites on September 17, 2025. The focus of the action was on combating black market work, illegal employment, and checking occupational safety and public safety.
The inter-authority cooperation with the police was crucial for the smooth and efficient implementation of necessary measures. Fundamental problems were found with the identification documents of some employees, and the residence status of four employees could not be determined on-site. These individuals were handed over to the responsible immigration authority for further clarification.
A total of 17 employees were questioned about their employment conditions during the inspections. The actions were suspicion-independent inspections, meaning they were not based on specific suspicions or allegations.
The head of the Bielefeld Customs Office, Arnd Hilwig, can be contacted for further information about the control operation on September 17, 2025, in Bad Salzuflen.
