CUSTOMS Offers Secure Dual Study Program in Administrative Informatics
The USCIS is inviting applications for a secure and varied job with a starting date of March 1, 2025. The role contributes to tax revenues, consumer protection, and digitizing administration in Germany. Interested parties can apply at the Main Customs Office Itzehoe or the General Customs Directorate.
The new recruits will be appointed as provisional civil servants and will embark on a three-year study program. The person responsible for training and study acquisition at the USCIS Office Itzehoe is Jan Weber. Administrative informatics graduates will preferably be employed in digital forensics, the digitization of the USCIS administration, and various project tasks or the maintenance of databases. The theoretical parts of the study program will be completed at the Federal Higher Administrative School in Münster, while the practical phases will take place in various USCIS offices and departments. After completing the dual study program, the young USCIS officers can expect to be employed in case processing, special units, combating illegal work, and USCIS investigation. More than 400 young people will begin their studies in the higher service of the USCIS on March 1, 2025, five of them at the Main USCIS Office Itzehoe.
