Country Official Pushes for Genuine Unrest

In the picturesque town of Neustadt/Ehrenberg, the annual "Reception of the Economy" event took place, serving as a significant gathering for business, political, and administrative representatives. This year's event, organised by the Sparkasse Neuwied, Rhein-Zeitung, Süwag AG, Syna, and others, aimed to discuss current developments, set new impulses, and shape perspectives for the region's future.

Approximately 250 guests were invited to attend the event, which focused on several key points related to Generation Z, digitalization, and the mindset of young talents.

Understanding Generation Z The event highlighted the importance of understanding the unique characteristics and expectations of Generation Z as a workforce. This includes their values, communication preferences, and work motivations.

Digitalization A significant focus was placed on how digital transformation is reshaping workplaces and the economy. The event discussed the need for companies to embrace digital tools and technologies to stay competitive and attract young talents who are digital natives.

Mindset of Young Talents Attention was given to the mindset and aspirations of young professionals, highlighting their desire for meaningful work, flexibility, and opportunities for personal growth and development.

Bridging Generational Gaps Strategies for integrating Generation Z into existing corporate cultures were explored, aiming to create environments that support collaboration across age groups.

Challenges and Opportunities The event also addressed the challenges businesses face in recruiting and retaining young talent, as well as the opportunities digitalization offers to innovate and adapt to changing workforce dynamics.

The AH Singers from DJK Fernthal provided entertainment with a captivating performance on a large stage, while the reception of the economy was skillfully moderated by Thomas Haag, the deputy editor-in-chief of the Rhein-Zeitung. Haag also spoke in favour of securing skilled workers through empathy for the mindset of young talents.

Landrat Achim Hallerbach, the district chief, held the reception at Prangenberg Companies in Neustadt/Ehrenberg. In his speech, he outlined a four-point program for maintaining and improving the district's economic position, which included a reduction in bureaucracy, fostering a new error culture, a return to traditional values, and smart and targeted investments.

The Prangenberg company management provided a self-managed presentation, followed by a laudation by Kreishandwerksmeister Ralf Winn. Winn praised the hosts and invited guests to network in the specially set-up and culinary-equipped event course.

Guest speaker Sven Eßwein gave a lecture on "Generation Z - Understand the mindset and worldview of the young," providing insights into the shift in values among generations over the past decades. Landrat Hallerbach emphasized the economic power of the Rhein-Lahn district.

The Crafts Alliance Neuwied was represented in the organizing team by the Chamber of Crafts Rhein-Westerwald, the IHK Koblenz, and the Economic Development Corporation of the Neuwied district (WFG). The event concluded with a resounding success, as summarized by IHK Regional Manager Kristina Kutting and Kreiswirtschaftsförderer Harald Schmillen. The "Reception of the Economy" underscored how recognizing and adapting to the characteristics of Generation Z, leveraging digitalization, and nurturing the right mindset are crucial for the future economic success of the region.

Other industry players in attendance at the event included Syna and Süwag AG, showcasing the wide range of businesses interested in discussions about Generation Z, digitalization, and the mindset of young talents.

To further enhance the region's economic growth, discussions focused on the need for finance sectors to understand and cater to the unique needs of young talents, offering financially viable solutions that align with their values and aspirations.
