Brace yourself, Zagreb residents and visitors, because the city's about to turn into one giant construction site this summer! As you can imagine, summer's usually a busy time for vacations and relaxation, but not in our beloved capital!

Here's the lowdown on the massive construction projects that have transformed our city into one big construction zone. City officials have been busy as bees, repairing roads and undertaking major upgrades across almost every nook and cranny of Zagreb.

Let's take a closer look at some of the biggest projects in the works:
- Držićeva – Slavonska Interchange: Kicking off on June 24, 2025, this project marks the beginning of the season-long party! The renovation focuses on the third level of the interchange, with a complete replacement of fences, new asphalt, and a facelift for supporting pillars and steel cladding. Unfortunately, the third level will be out of service for a whole year, and temporary traffic regulation will apply on surrounding roads.
- Vukovarska Area: From July 7 to July 13, there'll be a major disruption in the south carriageway of Vukovarska in the east-west direction. The road closure is due to the replacement of a complex tram switch system in the southwestern part of the intersection. Once the work's done, it should significantly boost tram safety and flow.
