Korean Private Equity Firm Hahn & Company Donates $1.4 Million to Aid Heavy Rainfall Victims

In a show of solidarity and commitment to social responsibility, Hahn & Company, a leading Korean private equity firm, has donated 2 billion won ($1.4 million) to aid in the recovery efforts from the recent heavy rainfall and flooding disaster in Korea.

The donation, made in partnership with 13 portfolio companies, has been delivered to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association. The funds will be used to provide emergency relief supplies and assist in the restoration of damaged communities.

The 13 participating companies, all part of Hahn & Company's portfolio, include Namyang Dairy Products, Korean Air C&D Service, Lahan Hotel, Cynosure Lutronic, Solmics, Ssangyong C&E, H-Line Shipping, SK Enpulse, K Car, Coavis, SK Microworks, SK Specialty, and SK Shipping.

Ssangyong C&E, the largest cement company in Korea, has a history of making donations to disaster recovery efforts and has specifically contributed funds towards flood relief this time around.

In a statement, Hahn & Company expressed deep concerns for those affected by the disaster and emphasized their commitment to maintaining active participation in national disaster relief and crisis management efforts in the future. The firm hopes that the donation will provide comfort to those affected and help communities return to their daily lives as quickly as possible.

The donation from Hahn & Company compares favorably to contributions from other major Korean conglomerates, underscoring the firm's prominent role in corporate social responsibility. The funds aim to help flood victims recover and return to normal life following the severe rainfall that caused significant casualties and evacuations nationwide.
