Cohesity & Semperis Launch Identity Resilience to Combat Active Directory Attacks
Cohesity and Semperis have joined forces to launch Cohesity Identity Resilience, a comprehensive solution designed to protect and maintain critical identity systems in hybrid enterprise environments. The collaboration, which began in 2022 and culminated in 2024, aims to defend against identity-based cyberattacks targeting Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID systems.
The solution integrates Semperis' identity security technology with Cohesity's data security platform, extending protection to Microsoft Entra ID in cloud environments. Cohesity Identity Resilience proactively secures, recovers, and investigates incidents relating to identity systems. It features proactive hardening of Active Directory, secure backups, and rapid restoration of environments following a cyber incident.
Industry experts highlight the prevalence of identity-based attacks across various sectors, including manufacturing, healthcare, and public services. Active Directory, managing authentication and access in enterprise IT, is a frequent target for cybercriminals, enabling actions like ransomware deployment, data theft, and business disruption. The solution also offers forensic and incident response capabilities to remove attacker artefacts and confirm system integrity before returning to production operations.
Available for purchase through Cohesity channels globally, Cohesity Identity Resilience minimises downtime and maintains trust in essential systems. By combining the strengths of both companies, organisations can now benefit from comprehensive post-attack forensic support, ensuring robust protection against identity-based cyberattacks.
