Chloé Welcomes Chemena Kamali as New Creative Director
Gabriela Hearst's tenure as Chloé's creative director has come to an end with her final show, the spring-summer 2024 collection. Stepping into her shoes is Chemena Kamali, who will present her first full collection for the house during Paris Fashion Week in February 2024.
Kamali, a seasoned designer, has a rich history with Chloé. She graduated from Central Saint Martin's in 2007 and worked with Phoebe Philo at the house. In 2013, she returned as design director under Clare Waight Keller. Her appointment as creative director marks a significant moment, as she joins the ranks of the few women leading luxury brands creatively.
Before her return to Chloé, Kamali held the position of women's ready-to-wear design director for Anthony Vaccarello at Saint Laurent since 2016. Her first pre-collection for Chloé is set to debut in January 2024, giving a sneak peek into her vision for the brand.
Chloé, the first luxury house to achieve B-Corp certification in 2021, welcomes Kamali as its new creative director. Her appointment signals a new chapter for the brand, one that builds on its commitment to sustainability and innovation. Fashion enthusiasts eagerly await Kamali's debut collection in February 2024.
