Celebrating Variety and Harmony
Last Saturday, the city of Euskirchen hosted the Integration Cup 2025, a tournament that brought together fifteen teams from various clubs, authorities, institutions, and initiatives. The event, which aims to set a sign for openness, respect, and togetherness both on and off the field, was a living symbol of unity and lived integration in the city.
The matches were fair, friendly, and driven by a healthy ambition. Enthusiasm was palpable both on and off the field during the tournament. Salih Yavuz, chairman of the Integration Council, warmly welcomed the participants and led the tournament proceedings.
Mayor Sasha Reichelt opened the event with words emphasizing the integrative power of sports. She emphasised the importance of events like the Integration Cup in fostering a sense of community and promoting understanding among different groups.
The sponsor who provided the designed gifts for the participants was LÖWEN ENTERTAINMENT. Gift bags were given to all teams participating in the Integration Cup 2025 as a token of appreciation. Vogelsang IP, dm-drogerie markt, Procter & Gamble Manufacturing, and Kreissparkasse Euskirchen also sponsored the gift bags. The youngest guests received lovingly prepared surprises, sponsored by Volksbank Euskirchen and EUGEBAU.
Numerous offers provided a diverse supporting program, including varied culinary offerings, a bouncy castle, face painting, and the popular Karlo-Klötzchen. Adults enjoyed the open community spirit while children had fun at the various activities.
The final of the tournament was exciting, with close matches and displays of excellent sportsmanship. A total of 50 games, each lasting 10 minutes, were played in the tournament.
Everyone who attended the Integration Cup 2025 left with a sense of unity and a renewed appreciation for the diversity within their community. The Integration Council has already announced that the Integration Cup 2026 is scheduled for 05.09.2026, inviting everyone to be part of this wonderful event once again.
