The Alexandria Diversity in Business Expo, a city-wide celebration of culture, commerce, and community, is set to take place this Saturday. Hosted by the Social Responsibility Group (SRG), a nonprofit based in Alexandria, the event brings together minority-owned and underrepresented businesses, corporate leaders, policymakers, and community champions.

The free event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., will be held at My Father's House Christian Church, located at 4744 Eisenhower Avenue.

City Council Member John Taylor Chapman, who is also a small business owner, will discuss at the expo about how local policies impact small businesses. Mayor Alyia Gaskins will deliver a keynote speech on inclusive leadership and corporate diversity. Pastor Lou Whiting, president of the Social Responsibility Group, will speak at the event.

Howard Jean, CEO of Black Meta Agency, will conduct a discussion about AI and how to use emerging technology. Angel Livas, CEO of ALIVE Podcast Network, will talk about building your brand. Chantrell M. McCormick, a business relationship banker at State Employees' Credit Union, will host a business panel on financing, preparing strong proposals, and improving financial readiness.

The Alexandria Diversity in Business Expo is rooted in a legacy of advocacy and leadership. The nonprofit organization that hosts the event is the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce. This year's expo promises to be an exciting and informative day for all attendees. Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect, learn, and grow!
