BSA & de.iterate Join Forces to Fortify Guided Weapons Against Cyber Threats
Black Sky Aerospace (BSA) and de.iterate have joined forces to bolster digital security in BSA's guided weapons development. This partnership comes as cyber-attacks grow more frequent and severe, threatening maturing technology, according to de.iterate CEO Andrew Lawrence.
The collaboration unites AS9100D and ISO27001 standards, safeguarding BSA's sensitive technology information while advancing guided weapon capabilities. BSA CEO Blake Nikolic warns that the intellectual property behind these innovations could be disastrous if accessed by unauthorised parties, such as state or criminal cyber actors.
BSA is committed to enhancing Australia's defence technology self-reliance and supply chain resilience, aligning with the Federal Government's Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Enterprise (GWEO) priorities. The company aims to achieve this by making significant strides in Australian defence technology and exporting to allies and partners. Currently, BSA is preparing for commercial supply of guided weapons from 2023, with ongoing testing at secure locations to elevate technology readiness levels.
The partnership between BSA and de.iterate will fortify BSA's guided weapons development against cyber threats, ensuring the security of Australia's defence technology and supply chain. This collaboration aligns with BSA's commitment to advancing Australia's self-reliance and export capabilities in the defence sector.
